About the Author
William Golding was born on September 19, 1911 in Newquay, Cornwall, England but grew up in Malborough, Wiltshire. in 1930 Golding went to Brasenose College, Oxford where he studies Natural Sciences for two years before he switched to English Literature. During World War 2 Golding joined the Royal Navy in 1940. he participated in the invasion of Normandy on D-Day. In September 1853 his book Lord of the Flies was championed by Charles Monteith, after some changes the novel was published in September 1954. Lord of the Flies was Golding firs novel, in which he got notice for. Sadly, on June 19, 1993 Golding died of heart failure.
